Reminiscent of popular NES titles like Metroid and Castlevania, Cave Story is a freeware action platformer that gives you one singular mission: make your way out of the gigantic cave you are stuck in. Along the way, you’ll give aid to small rabbit-like creatures, collect Life Capsules to improve your health and energy boosters to beef up your weaponry, and do battle with nefarious end-of-stage bosses on your quest for freedom above ground.
