Spoon Adaptive Streaming
Spoon Stream is a radical new delivery technology that allows virtualized applications
to be launched over the web 5-20 times faster than traditional download.
Spoon Stream uses machine learning technology to automatically decompose complex
applications into smaller functional and data units. These pieces are adaptively
selected for background transfer based on observed behavior as the user progresses
through an application. Spoon Stream’s adaptive delivery algorithms
are the first to achieve statistically optimal delivery of package bits to end user
devices.

Spoon App Virtualization
Spoon's
best-in-class app virtualization technology allows streamed apps to execute
instantly in an isolated environment on any Windows desktop. App virtualization
enables seamless side-by-side execution of applications and completely
eliminates installation, conflicts, and dependencies. Unlike hardware virtualization
solutions such as VMware and Virtual PC, which emulate the underlying hardware and
therefore require an entire copy of the host operating system, Spoon app virtualization
technology emulates operating system features required for execution.
As a result, Spoon virtual apps have essentially the same performance characteristics
as native executables.
